The Disturbing Disappearance of Trevor Deely

Trevor Deely was a 22-year-old man from Kildare, Ireland, who was quickly rising up the ranks at the Bank of Ireland Asset Management, where he worked in the IT department. [1]
The 6'3" redhead, the youngest of four children, was a hard worker, according to his colleagues. He did his job and did it well, never stopping to complain or involve himself in office gossip. His former manager, Daragh Treacy, described Deely as “very trustworthy” and a “good guy.”
Deely was spotted on CCTV footage walking away from his office building in the wee hours of December 8, 2000, presumably headed home. But Deely wasn’t alone. Following at a distance behind Deely was a man dressed in a dark hoodie, following Deely in the rain.

Nineteen years later, no one knows for certain what happened to Trevor Deely, who the man was following him in the CCTV footage, and whether that man had anything to do with Deely’s disappearance.
A Fun Night Out Goes Sour

Thursday, December 7, 2000, was a night of fun and relaxation for Bank of Ireland Asset Management employees.
The evening started with drinks at Copper Face Jack’s after work, but the official office party was at the Hilton Hotel. The party eventually moved to Buck Whaley’s nightclub, where Deely remained until close to 3:30 a.m.

It was a windy night and despite a deluge of rain, Deely, without so much as an umbrella, ventured out into the poor weather and started walking towards his office, which wasn’t far from Buck Whaley’s. He arrived at his workplace and used his security pass to open the gate at 3:35 a.m. Deely left to go home just after 4 a.m., this time with an umbrella in hand.
